That sucks but you have better schools waiting in the wings - not to mention great weather and not to shabby an MBA program in UCLA in your pocket. Good luck with Stanford and the rest - and if all else fails you'll probably get to meet me at UCLA - it can't be too bad?
i actually was sad to see this ding. i wanted you to get that admit, then leave that spot for a seat in Stanford, thus opening a slot for the WLers.

I hadn't thought enough about this ahead of time, but the ding totally makes sense. With the competition between these schools to boost their yield numbers, of course Kellogg's not going to accept you. They, like everybody else, knows you're getting into Stanford, and so since you didn't focus your interview on convincing them that you "want" to go to Kellogg, they knew it was a lost cause. Just chill out til you get your Stanford admit. And take detailed notes about shopping in Shanghai for me ;-).
For a change I am with Redwolf on this one. It is just agonizing that you need to wait until the 28th(?) to hear from Stanford. Well, you'll definitely hear some gretat news from Chicago today/tomorrow.

Hey, no big deal. Cornell and UCLA are great choices. If it makes you feel any better I really screwed up my Cornell application and I got dinged after interviewing with an alum. Ok, I am not Mormon but I mentioned that i did some volunteer work for them on my Cornell application. I spelled the church, Church of Ladder day Saints instead of the appropriate name, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If someone can give me a better example of a screw up I would love to here it. Oh, also on the Cornell app I failed to mentiond that my grandma, great uncle and great grandpa are alums. I did send a supplement but I imagine they just figured I was an idiot for not including it in the first place. On top of all of this I didn't visit their school. I don't recommend to anyone not visiting a school in BFE like Cornell because they don't take your very seriously unless you do.

Yale is turning out to be one of the most random schools this year with admits. I'm sad you won't be joining us, but with Chicago and UCLA in the bag and Stanford and MIT in the pipeline, you will have some fantabulous choices ahead of you!
